Sheila Lee Wilkinson

Wilkinson, Sheila Lee, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Friday, March 21, 2025. She was married to Ronald Wilkinson for 51 years as the love of his life, beautiful bride, best friend and partner. Sheila knew and had peacefully accepted that God’s plan for her life was going to be shorter than she and all of us that loved her desired. Family, friends and acquaintances were beneficiaries of her compassion, gentle nature, kindness and thoughtful generosity. She positively influenced the lives of countless others through her God given gifts. We all became better individually and collectively in so many ways because of Sheila. We praise and thank God for the amazing gift Sheila has been in our lives. We can only begin to imagine the crowns of righteousness that Sheila will receive and the special role that God has for her in Heaven. 2 Timothy 4:6-8. Sheila led women’s bible studies and organized fellowship events for women over many years. She was devotedly in God’s Word daily enabling her to become an excellent mentor and role model to others. Sheila and Ron traveled to Kenya, Africa, numerous times on mission trips to share the Word of God and have continued this ministry support for over 25 years. Her favorite charity was Operation Christmas Child with Samaritan’s Purse which she faithfully organized and supported through the church. Cooking anytime for her family and especially for seasonal holidays was a delight she treasured. She loved collecting and trying new recipes. Her favorite St. Louis attraction was the Missouri Botanical Garden every year on her birthday with family. The MUNY with Ron and the family every year was another special occasion. Sheila was the devoted mother of Stephanie (Matt) Petersen of Foristell, MO, and Kelly (Nate) Hart of Puyallup, WA; cherished grandmother of Lydia Hart, Sami Hart, Abby Hart, Noel Hart, Bella Hart, and Briggs Petersen; loving daughter of Grace Lagan of Cedar Rapids, IA, and the late Terrance Lagan; dear sister of Lynn (Dave) Hall of Johnston, IA, Rick Lagan of Milwaukee, WI, and Laurie (Mark) Pooley of Cedar Rapids, IA; dear sister-in-law of Sheryl (Peter) Wilkinson of Longview, TX, and Donna (Jeff) Walters of Lisbon, IA; dear aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Sheila is now where her family desires to be eternally and we look forward to the day when we are all reunited with her in our Heavenly Father’s Kingdom. The family would like to share with everyone the amazing person Sheila was and the life she led at the Memorial Service. Services: Memorial service at the Quest Church of St. Louis, 17126 Manchester Road, Wildwood, MO, Saturday, April 12, 2025. Doors open at 10:00 a.m. and service begins at 11:00 a.m. Memorial visitation from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. when the family will depart for a private interment at Bellerive Gardens.
