Patricia "Pat" Ann Roach

Patricia Ann “Pat” Roach went peacefully to be with the Lord on April 18th , 2022, surrounded by family. Pat spent her life of 75 years in the St. Louis area, and was a dedicated mom, grandmother, sister, and daughter. She was preceded in death by her father, Delbert Hoenig, her mother, Mary Elizabeth Hoenig Chapman (nee Doherty), stepfather Frank Chapman, and nephew Bobby Maessen. Pat is survived by her children, Cindy Roach, Kris Paglusch, and Jerry (Michele) Roach. Cindy’s children are Patty Ann Pardee, Dani Owens, and Mike Pardee. Kris’s children are Andrew, Curtis, and Katie Paglusch. Jerry and Michele’s children are Abby and Reagan Roach. Her great-grandbabies, Jones and Jameson Jacka, Atlas, Aliah Michelle and Steven Owens, and Aliyah Renea and Elise Pardee reside in Montana. She has three surviving siblings, Mary (Richard) Myers, Cynthia (Robert) Maessen, and John (Holly) Hoenig. Services will be held April 29, 2022, Hutchens-Styger Funeral and Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., St. Charles, MO 63304. Visitation will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. followed by a service. Interment will be at Bellerive Gardens Cemetery. Pat was a single parent. Despite many hardships, she was a fun-loving, joyful mom who was always quick to laugh, and slow to anger. She showed unconditional love for her children and God. Patricia loved holding babies and was rewarded with plenty of grandchildren. She loved and missed her family in Montana. Her sister Mary Margaret was her first confidant and co-conspirator. Margaret and her husband, Richard Myers, raised their children side by side with Pat. This strengthened their bond in the chaos of parenthood. Her younger brother, John Hoenig, set a wonderful example to her for a husband and father. He was a great support for Pat from beginning to end. Pat adored her baby sister, Cindy, and they connected on a deeply spiritual level as they grew older. In a life with many struggles and more than her share of bad luck, her support system of her mother, siblings and spouses were Pat’s lifeline. They were ‘Jesus With Skin On’. Their love and support solidified her faith. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Pat. Patricia enjoyed crafting and dancing. She loved Elvis, faux Tiffany lamps and QVC jewelry. Pat also lived for good food expressed it with her famous yum-yum noises. She often lacked filters, but in a hilariously innocent way that created many inside stories. She loved every family party, and in the majority of her candid pictures, she is laughing with her entire being. We will miss everything about her, but perhaps most of all, her laugh… It was radiant. Till we meet again.
