Obituary for William Marchant Penney Jr. William was born in St Louis, Missouri to William Marchant, Sr. and Katherine [nee Lindsay] Penney, on April 5, 1928. He loved to travel, was a Civil War history buff, collected rare coins, but most of all enjoyed being around his family and friends. He served his country as a Captain in the United States Navy, and his life's work was as a civil engineer. Survivors include his wife: Jill; four children: Kurt Penney, Chuck Jureka, Jane [Todd] Bennett, William Penney III; twelve grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his second wife: Jane; two children: Michael and David; and one sister: Katherine. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors. Visitation will be from 10-11 on Monday June 7 at Bellerive Gardens Indoor Mausoleum Chapel, with funeral ceremony at 11:00 am; followed by Full Military Honors.
