Herminia Y. Llorico Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Herminia Llorico (nee Yambao), 83, affectionately known as Mama, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 16, 2021. She was born on March 27, 1937, in Pampanga, Philippines and was the eldest of 7 siblings. She immigrated to the United States, where she met the love of her life, Bayani Llorico (Papa). They married in 1963 and raised 3 children in St. Louis. Over the years, Cindy, Ben and Carmen married, and her family grew to 10 grandchildren. Mama and Papa formed a special bond with each grandchild, and her family was the center of her life. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining for family and friends, told wonderful stories of her childhood and often spoke of her fond memories with Papa. Mama also had a strong faith in God, praying constantly for her family, friends and others in need. Mama touched the lives of many, with her kind spirit, unwavering generosity and welcoming hospitality. Mama taught us all the meaning of family and the importance of faith, and she leaves behind a legacy that will carry on the traditions she established. Herminia is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Honorato Yambao, Liberato Yambao, and sister Rustica Flores. She was also sister to Adolfo Yambao (Lioni), Esther Nabong (Marcelo), and Aurora Cano (Aurelio). Mama is survived by 2 daughters: Cindy Hoffman (Bob) of Manchester, Missouri, Carmen Slade (Terry) of St. Louis, Missouri and a son: Ben Llorico (Cindy) of St. Charles, Missouri. She is the proud grandmother of Abby Llorico, Ryan Hoffman, Claire Hoffman, Courtney Llorico, Carly Hoffman, Taylor Slade, Maddie Slade, Charles Llorico, Quinlan Llorico and Rissa Scanio. Funeral Mass at Incarnate Word Catholic Church, 13416 Olive Blvd., Chesterfield, Missouri, 63017 on Tuesday, February 9, 10:30 a.m. Also, you can view mass virtually via https://boxcast.tv/view/funeral-mass-herminia-llorico-givd91z90ruaey57efvi Private burial at Bellerive Cemetery.
