Alice (Mickey) Mildred Swenson

October 11, 1937 - August 7, 2021

Mickey (Alice) Swenson of Kirkwood, MO passed away August 7, 2021 at the age of 83. She is survived by her husband, Wallace (Wally), three sons (Steve, Doug, Ken), five grandchildren (Katie, Erik, Abby, Elayna, and Lauren), and her sister Sally McGaha. She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert Chapman Robertson and Sarah Grace Foraker and by her two brothers Herbert and Charles Robertson. Mickey was born in Dallas, Texas and attended Southern Methodist University and graduated from Austin College in Sherman, Texas. She moved to Lubbock, Texas in 1959 to accept a teacher’s position. Wally moved to Lubbock in 1961 and three months after meeting, Wally and Mickey were married on June 17 just before Wally was transferred to New York City. Mickey and Wally celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year. After several Company transfers, they moved to Missouri in 1980 and have resided at Aberdeen Heights Senior Living in Kirkwood for the past ten years. Mickey’s funeral service will be at Kirkwood United Methodist Church (201 West Adams, Kirkwood, MO 63122) on Thurs., August 12 at 10 am, with visitation there at 9 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kirkwood United Methodist Church, American Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice.
