Norleen Lillian Elliott

Norleen Lillian (Drebes) Elliott, 69, of Chesterfield, MO, went to her eternal home on May 4, 2025. She was born October 12,1955, in Monroe City, Missouri, to Norman Drebes and Vivian (Peiter) Drebes-Donelson. Norleen graduated from Monroe City High School in 1973 and University of Missouri-Columbia with a Respiratory Therapy degree in 1977. Norleen and John Elliott married in 1979. They had three daughters whom Norleen adored and loved fiercely: Megan Elliott (deceased 2001), Melissa (Trenton) Lauer of Tucson, AZ, and Madalyn Elliott (deceased 2025); grandchildren include: Claire Lauer & Emma Lauer. Norleen is also survived by sister Linda (Jim) Sutton of St. Charles, MO, sister Nancy Drebes of Columbia, MO, and brother Glen (Cammy) Drebes of Newalla, OK. She is also survived by Aunt Cathy Schade. She was also blessed with an extended step-family, and numerous cousins. Norleen was a member of Chesterfield Presbyterian Church for nearly 30 years. While her girls were in school, she was that mom who volunteered for any role. Before becoming a mother, she worked as a respiratory therapist, where she enjoyed helping others. She carried on that caring spirit when she opened her own tailoring business. As hundreds of people can attest, she had a God-given talent for being able to quickly alter just about anything! Many a bride, high school prom girl and mothers of the bride and groom have stood in front of Norleen’s mirror as she pinned dress hems and chatted. She loved to travel and throughout her life visited sites all over the world. Norleen also had a knack for baking and cooking, which she passed on to her young granddaughters. Claire would often declare to her, “We’re the baking girls!” Norleen loved her friends and family. She never took her village for granted and was always glad to include one more. Services: Friends and Family are invited to a visitation to celebrate Norleen’s life at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road, Ballwin, Friday May 16, 2025, from 4-7pm. A funeral service will be held at Chesterfield Presbyterian Church, 15037 Clayton Rd, Chesterfield, on Saturday May 17, 2025, at 10am and Pastor Hugh Barlett will officiate.
