Kathleen L. Rock

Kathleen L. Rock, passed away June 2, 2025. Kathleen was born in Fukuoka, Japan, May 24, 1962. A beloved daughter of Edward and Joy Rock and a cherished sister of Margaret Koebbe (Terry), Sarah Gould (Tom), Eddie Rock, and David Rock. Dear mother of William Patrick “Billy” Rock; beloved aunt of Randy Sheridan (Megan), Michael Koebbe (Emille), and Nikolai Rock; beloved great-aunt of Tye and Mia Sheridan; cherished cat-mom of Magnolia and dog-grandma of Goose. Words cannot express the love everyone had for you. After 3 years of watching you suffer from various afflictions, we find comfort knowing that you are reunited with Grandma and Grandpa, pain free. And that you are looking down on all the ones you love from above. Showing us love, mercy, and grace alongside Jesus for eternity. Kathy was the epitome of strength. A soft and inviting version of strength. Through her actions and words people wanted to be around her because with her, we are safe. Safe from judgment, criticism, and hurt. Creating a true meaning of “family” in every circle she was a part of. She had her actual family, church family, work family, and friends that were family. A matriarchal figure (and, in adulthood, an amazing friend and equal) to so many of her son Billy’s friends. That love did not just stay with the ones close by. The net was cast over the entire globe. She went to Peru with Food for the Hungry for close to 8+ years. During her career at JM Family Enterprises, she volunteered as the Head of Philanthropy for the St. Louis office. And as a breast cancer survivor, organized many groups to walk in the Susan G. Komen | Race for the Cure. Services: In celebration of Kathy Rock, we are blessed to grieve and celebrate her life with you all. Friends and family are invited to a visitation at Chesterfield Presbyterian Church, located at 15037 Clayton Rd, Chesterfield, MO 63017 on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Hugh Barlett officiating. The interment will follow in Bellerive Gardens, Creve Coeur, MO. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Freedom School - Restore St. Louis.
