Jeffrey R. Bauer Obituary Jeffrey R. Bauer, 59, of Glendale, Missouri, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church passed peacefully after a 3-year cancer battle on Thursday, July 11, 2024, surrounded by his family. Jeff was born on February 1, 1965, to Carol and Raymond Bauer in St. Louis, Missouri. After graduating from Chaminade College Preparatory School in 1983, Jeff attended the University of Missouri-Columbia where he was an active member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. Jeff enjoyed and excelled at a 35+ year career in contract furniture, construction, real estate and as an investor in multiple companies. He most recently contributed to the success of Modern Business Interiors and Pinnacle Contracting. His relationships created throughout his business career became lifelong friendships which he cherished. Since graduating from Mizzou, Jeff has been a season ticket holder and supporter of Mizzou football. Over the years, Jeff perfected the Lot L tailgate, bringing together friends and family over coolers of Michelob Ultras to cheer on his beloved Tigers. Throughout Jeff’s battle with cancer, Mizzou football became the best medicine. Trips to Columbia, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Georgia and the Cotton Bowl this year became a great distraction and dose of fun. Aside from his love of Mizzou, Jeff was a lifelong fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Rams, Blues, and an avid golfer, who traveled to courses around the world. His Dad became his first golf partner every Saturday at Norwood Hills Country Club. Jeff and his family are grateful for the many memories made both on and off the course at Norwood and Algonquin Golf Club. Above all, Jeff loved and prioritized his family, his friends, and his faith. He will always be remembered for his wide circle of friends, quick wit and loyalty. He had a natural gift for bringing people together, and we will always cherish the people we met through Jeff. Jeff truly believed in and lived by the saying “the more the merrier.” Beloved husband of Kathleen F. Bauer (nee Fitzgerald); loving father of Luke, Jake and Audrey Bauer; cherished brother of Mark (Lori) Bauer, Ellen (Brent) Allen and Craig (Annie) Bauer; cherished brother-in-law of Jill (Matt) Stapf and Scott Fitzgerald; dear uncle of Adam (Courtney), Josh (Katie), Jenna Davenport (Hayden) Bauer; Andy (Leisl), Robert, Libby Bauer; Ryan (Madalyn), Kelly Wagner (Matt), Julie and Kyle Allen; Abby and Olivia Stapf and preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Raymond and Carol Bauer, his father and mother-in-law, Stephen and Audrey Fitzgerald; and by his nephew Spencer Stapf. Jeff was a loving great-uncle, cousin and friend to many. Visitation from 4-8pm on Wed., July 17, at Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd., Kirkwood, MO 63122. Funeral Mass 11am Thurs., July 18, at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 676 W. Lockwood Ave, Webster Groves, MO 63119. Interment Bellerive Gardens Cemetery.
