Ann L. Norman

Norman, Ann L. (nee Ijames), died in Chesterfield, Mo on Thursday, July 10, 2025 surrounded by family. The most important things to Ann was her family, faith, and hard work. Ann was born in Mill Spring, Mo on January 10, 1923 and was the eldest child of the late Glen and Bertha (Bilbrey) Ijames. She graduated from Ellisnore High School in 1940. Ann came to St. Louis when she was 17 years of age, she worked several jobs until she was old enough to work for Louis Army Ammunition Plant in St. Louis during World War II. After the war she married Billy J. Norman on May 29, 1946. In 1956 she went to work for McDonnell Aircraft Corporation which was later named McDonnell Douglas and Boeing Corporation. In 1980, after retiring Ann and her husband Bill relocated from Maryland Heights, Mo to Cuba, Missouri to a home they built together while working. Ann is survived by her daughters Jean Tullock, Judy (Bob) Richter. She has six (6) grandchildren, Michelle Smith, Tony (Sophie) Norman, and Jeffrey (Michelle) Norman, Jennifer Kelly (Peter Goodall), Katie (Tyler) Row. Seven (7) great-grandchildren, Nichole Smith, Jacob Kirkpatrick, Allysa Norman, Ryan Norman, Evelyn Goodall, Chelsea Smith, Dylan Smith, and one (1) great-great grandchild, James Smith. She is survived by her sister, Glenda Junge. She was preceded in death by her parents Glen and Bertha Ijames, her husband, of 58 years Billy J. Norman, her son Jerry W. (Patricia) Norman, her grandson Michael Kirkpatrick, her siblings, Billy Joe (Dorothy) Ijames, Bobby E. (Geneva) Ijames, Betty L. (Edward) Kackley, John G. (Virginia) Ijames, Bernie D. Ijames, Berry L. (JoAnne) Ijames, Bertha S. Shaedig, Clare Jane (Max) Brandon, Burton E. Ijames, Maurice J. Ijames, and Ira E. Ijames. Many nieces, nephews and friends. Services: Visitation at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. Interment Bellerive Gardens.
